In terms of technology, a specially designed drive concept was developed for the sensitive laser pick-up of the mbl 1521 A to provide it with effective protection against possible vibrations and housing resonance. A massive brass block with floating 3-point suspension forms the foundation for the drive unit. Once the CD has been inserted, the drive chamber is closed with a massive 10-mm thick full-metal lid, creating a room of absolute peace and quiet.

In interaction with the D/A converter mbl 1511 F, this drive succeeds in setting new standards for CD playback. You can expect a music listening experience that is otherwise only produced by the best analog record players available. Neither vibrations nor sound impulses are able to interfere with the work of the sensitive laser. This is made possible by the specially developed suspension of the drive: It rests on a compact brass block with floating 3-point suspension. The drive chamber is closed with a 10 mm thick full-metal lid; in addition, heavy insulating mats prevent any vibration in the housing. As a result you can enjoy an amazingly natural reproduction of even the most difficult music passages, free of any acoustic distortion.

The three-beam laser scans the CD with the highest possible precision.
